Obs screen capture7/14/2023 ![]() Sorry if these are obvious questions, I'm still fairly new to OBS.ĮDIT: Another thing: The basic Windows "Movies and TV" application is not an option for window capture, which is why I looked toward trying the browser capture. For people who want to share their ideas, such as a gameplay explanation, lecture or even product demos, using OBS to record your screen and share the video will be a good choice. It uses a neural network to predict the mask of the portrait and remove the background pixels. So, technically two questions: First, are there any browsers or workarounds that would allow me to capture the YouTube video? Secondly, what could be going wrong with my display capture? When I add it as a source, I'm just creating a display capture, using display 1 (my only option), and I've tried with and without capturing the cursor, and both result in the black screen. OBS is a well-known open source screen recording software to capture videos on Windows, Mac and Linux. This plugin makes it easy to replace the background in portrait images and video to create a virtual green screen, as well as correct lighting in low-light conditions, just like Zoom or Google Meet. Also, when I try using Window Capture, I just get a black screen and nothing will pop up. From finding another post here I learned that Chrome (and Edge and Firefox) blocks captures like OBS window capture. I was trying to capture gameplay footage I'd uploaded to YouTube to try and record a video, but the image just freezes and won't properly record anything.
